About Dr. MadCows Web Portal
Dr. MadCows Web Portal is a hobby website run by Daryl Quenet, based in Victoria BC Canada. This website originally started as a portfolio site, with the initial development starting in Janruary 2003. One of the original goals for this website was to create an invaluable online resource to help optimize my web surfing experience, and organize my Links collection. However over time another funny thing started to happen, people started to visit, and return!
So left with a dilema like this, and a passion for educating people (and educating myself) I am only left with one choice. I will never totally abandon this Web Portal project, and the perks are great. Please also remember another thing that makes a website like this a success is user feedback. I'm almost always thrilled to get your favourite links, if you run a website feel free to contact me as well. Also if you would like to see future improvements and features feel free to send me your ideas (Contact page has a contact form). The website development status is currently very active, so expect lots of minor changes, SEO optimizations, and Articles.
Sponsorship / Advertising Information
Running a quality website of any size always requires upkeep, which is something I don't mind taking care of. However this leaves me with no money left over for hardware, software, and upgrades (being a starving student and all). If your a hardware manufacturer / vendor / reseller I am happy to review anything that comes across my desk, and you will receive a double set of perminant links (Contact me firsts).
Software authors I am also interested in reviewing your software provided it is a quality program, and there isn't a better Freeware / Open Source alternative. To have your software reviewed feel free to email, or ship me a registered / fully functional copy of your software.
