So I've now been using Firefox well over a year now, and I must say it is by far superior to IE. Any one who uses IE must have noticed lately the excessive amount of Spyware, Adware, and malicious material on the web. Internet Explorer at last count had approximately 30 known security holes.

I hate to be a FireFox gloater (trust me if you read around you'll find no shortage of these). After 5 minutes of using Firefox, I became a strong believer. The browser itself is a 4.7mb download, compared to the full blown Mozilla 1.7.5 browser (11mb) this is tiny. The current version of FireFox is 1.0.4

This browser is easily as fast as Inter Explorer, after you run the tweaks in my speed of FireFox article. It's got a built in search engine toolbar, tabbed browsing, and download manager make it an ideal replacement for IE. It also has a built in popup blocker, extensions system (for additional addons hundreds are available), and theme system. Firefox has already been accepted by the masses and has a huge community that constantly submit extensions, themes and even code. Firefox is by far the best free browser, so give it a try. The main page is also optimized for FireFox, the FireFox banner is only there if your not running FireFox.
